Bangkok, 5 September 2017 – Bangkokians can get ready to meet the superheroes of their childhood when The Marvel Experience, a popular mobile interactive attraction in U.S, opens in Bangkok. Wow, that’s a big step up from Dream World, the old-school entertainment attraction just outside the city. Bangkok will be the first launch of the ASEAN tour of The Marvel Experience when it opens next year. Hero Experience announced on 4th September that “The Marvel Experience Thailand: Themed Entertainment Attraction” is set to open in the second quarter of next year on a 10,000 sqm. plot in Bang Na District. The company is keeping the location confidential for now but reveals that construction is already 20 percent complete. The Marvel hyper-reality experience will allow visitors to become an official S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. In the augmented reality part of the park, visitors can experience climbing like Spider-Man, avoiding lasers like Black Widow, and smashing like the Hulk. The Marvel Experience toured the U.S. as a mobile attraction starting in Phoenix in December 2014, before to moving to Dallas and San Diego, and concluding in Philadelphia in July 2015 Noppadon Jason Chirasanti, Co CEO at Hero Experience, said the Thai version of the Marvel Experience will be “localised” to suit demographics in Asia. He said the themed entertainment attraction is expected to draw many visitors both internationally and locally, the company is in talks with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and travel agencies about promoting the new attraction. The admission fee is expected to be similar to the U.S. entertainment attraction, which was US$35, or about THB1,150.
