Bangkok, 23 March 2017 – Qatar Airways will launch 15 new destinations in 2017-2018 connecting more people to more places than any other Gulf airline.
“We believe that travelling is an opportunity for adventure, and Qatar Airways offers one of the world’s most extensive networks, the best on board experience and the world’s youngest fleet of 194 state-of-the-art aircraft. The only limit of where to go is your imagination,” said Terence Yu, Country Manager Thailand and Myanmar.
New destinations to be added this year include Chiang Mai, the airline’s fourth destination in Thailand, Canberra, Auckland, Dublin, Las Vegas, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago, Chile; Medan, Indonesia; and Tabuk and Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, Sarajevo, Bosnia; Skopje, Macedonia; Libreville, Gabon; Nice, France; and Douala, Cameroon.
“Our intention is to ensure our passengers can choose Qatar Airways for all of their travel needs – whether they are flying on business, for pleasure, or a combination of both. At Qatar Airways, we are going places together with our passengers, and we look forward to welcoming these new destinations in 2017-18,” said Mr Yu.
Qatar Airways received a number of accolades in 2016, including Skytrax’s Best Staff Service in the Middle East, World’s Best Business Class 2016 and Best Business Class Airline Lounge, as well as Best Business Class from Business Traveller Awards. The airline was also awarded a Gold award for its International Business Class experience on the A350 aircraft, and Silver awards for its International Economy Class and Going Places Together brand campaign at the recently-held 2016 Travel Weekly Magellan Awards.
