Bangkok, 15 February 2017 –  Thai AirAsia start selling tickets on its two new routes from Utapao Rayong Pattaya International Airport. These new services will connect Utapao directly with Phuket in the southern Thailand and Ubon Ratchathani in the northeast region. Utapao airport is often dubbed as an airport serving Pattaya, a famous tourist city in eastern Thailand. The airport is 45 minutes drive from Pattaya.

Thai AirAsia  will fly from Utapao Airport to both Phuket and Ubon Ratchathani with daily flights starting from 30 March 2017 onward. The airlines offering launch promotional fare for these two new routes. Oneway fare from Utapao to Phuket starts from 790 THB and Utapao to Ubon Ratchathani starts from 490 THB only. This promotion is valid for booking from 14-25 February 2017 and traveling from 30 March 2017 – 6 February 2018.

Flight from Utapao to Phuket will depart at 10.55 hr and the return flight from Phuket will depart at 12.50 hr. The journey will take 1 hour and 20 minutes each way. While the flight from Utapao to Ubon Ratchathani will depart at 14.40 hr and return flight from Ubon will leave at 16.35 hr. The journey between Utapao and the northeastern airport will take only 1 hour and 10 minutes. All services will be operated daily.

Thai AirAsia started its operation at Utapao International Airport as its 5th hub since 28 November 2015. The airlines currently served 8 destinations with direct flights from the airport. They are Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Hat Yai in Thailand ; Nanning, Nanchang, Hangzhou in China; Macau and Singapore. Kuala Lumpur is also served by AirAsia Berhad(Malaysia AirAsia).

Bangkok Airways currently flies between Phuket and Utapao with daily flights. Kan Air used to fly between Utapao and Ubon Ratchathani but suspended its operation in 2015.
