Bangkok, 11 January 2017 – Thai Lion Air, a Thai subsidiary of Lion Group, announced two new domestic routes on its Facebook page. The airlines will start flying from Don Mueang International Airport, its main hub, to Trang, a city in Southern Thailand on 10 February 2017. This Bangkok – Trang services will be operated with 2 daily flights frequencies. The airlines also offer a launch promotion. One way ticket cost will start from only THB 425.
Flight from Bangkok to Trang will depart at 09.35 and 16.30 hr. The return flight will depart from Trang at 12.45 and 20.00 hr. The flight time between Bangkok and Trang is 1 hour 25 minutes.
Another new route launched on the same day is Chiang Mai – Surat Thanni. This service will connect Chiang Mai, major city of northern Thailand with Surat Thani, a city in the south of Thailand which is gateway to popular tourist destinations in the Gulf of Thailand such as Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Kho Tao. This north-south direct service will operated as 1 daily flight and also start from 10 February 2017. The launch promotion of Chiang Mai – Surat Thani route starts from THB 925 one way.
Flight from Chiang Mai will leave at 13.05 and the return flight from Surat Thani depart at 18.45 hr. Flight time will be 2 hour and 10 minutes
Ticket on both route are available since 10 January on Thai Lion Air website, mobile application and also travel agent.
Currently, Bangkok – Trang route are served by Nok Air and Thai Air Asia. Both carriers are based at Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok and offer 3 daily flights each on this route. Chiang Mai – Surat Thani is only served by Thai AirAsia one flight daily.
